Tail of the Dragon at Deals Gap, NC
Ever heard of a stretch of road called “the tail of the dragon”? How about “the tree of shame”? The Tail of the Dragon at Deals Gap, NC is a curvy stretch of road with 318 curves in 11 miles. There are other favorites in the area, but this one is pretty well-known. If you’ve ever been to the International Motorcycle Show, you’ve surely seen a booth or two with information on this popular destination for motorcycle enthusiasts.
Here’s a guy on a Yamaha Warrior tearing up the dragon. I sure wouldn’t be going that fast. That is one twisty piece of asphalt ribbon.
