More Misleading News About Riding

Apparently there's an article claiming that motorcycle fatalities are on the rise, but it doesn't tell the whole story. In addition, the author claims that motorcycle education does no good and further fails to mention the findings of the Hurt Report in 1981.

One really has to take some of these articles with a grain of salt. There has been no comprehensive study on motorcycle fatalities, injuries, and riding habits, since the Hurt Report in 1981. There was another report done by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration in 2005 that cited evidence that motorcycle education IS in face making a difference.

Motorcycles and riding in general are frequent victims of this kind of sensational reporting that makes motorcycles and riding out to be far worse than it is.
